The DNR chipping program has completed for the spring. A special “thank you” to property owners who cleaned up their properties and prepared wood stacks to be chipped. DNR brought in a large work party and completed all but a very few properties before their grant money ran out and work had to stop. We appreciate their efforts and hard work. Our area looks much better due to your and their efforts.
We’ve been informed that they will be back in the fall after we have provided them with the “In-Kind” forms detailing hours each of us have worked cleaning up our properties. If you have not already done so, turn in your completed forms to a board member, or call one of us and we will pick it up from you.
Those properties missed this time will be the first to be addressed in the fall. More information will be provided once we know that more grant money has been approved and a work date scheduled.
Thank you again for your terrific support of this project and hard work to beautify our area.
Completion of annual road maintenance originally scheduled to occur from 5/11 – 5/22 has been delayed due to wet weather conditions. Heavy machinery is still on BSR property. Maintenance will be completed as soon as weather permits. Please use caution and respect any road restrictions that may temporarily be in place where work is in process.
Road conditions were mixed as of Sunday, 3/22. Some areas were dry, others still covered with snow or ice, and others were very wet and muddy. It is not possible to drive personal vehicles to all areas in the association. As a result, winter rules are still in effect at the main gate for vehicle access. Conditions will be monitored and a change made only when road conditions are safe. Updated posts will help you know current road conditions.
See pictures below of the Association roads on 3/22.
Alerts have been distributed that additional bear sightings have been made at the Weber Canyon dump site. This notice reinforces the earlier February posting to be vigilant and exercise caution when you are in and around the dump site. The county and DNR are currently discussing options to improve safety.
The main gate lock was changed Monday, November 24th. Access for most individuals will be through the snowmobile gate using your current summer key. Please keep the gate closed and locked at all times. Exercise caution when on the roads.
Snow is beginning to accumulate and is covering all BSR roads. Some are difficult to navigate. Only 4-wheel drive vehicle access is advised. Slow down and exercise caution on all roads.
A new snow storm is expected this weekend. Changing the main gate to “Winter Access” and “Winter Rules” will be dependent on weather conditions and BSR road safety. We will attempt to provide advance notice of lock changes. However, prepare now for a lock change that could occur at any time.
